15+ hand-selected vessels — from authentic handcrafted phinisi to top-tier motor yachts. Every boat is annually inspected, fully insured, and crewed by trained Flores locals.
Most booking platforms list any boat that pays a commission. We do the opposite. Every vessel in our collective passes a 47-point annual safety inspection covering hull integrity, life-jacket count, fire-suppression systems, water-tightness, bilge pumps, navigation and communication electronics, tender condition, and the certification of every crew member who will be responsible for your safety. Boats that fail are removed until they are fixed; boats we have not personally sailed on are never listed at all.
The fleet spans three deliberate tiers. Handcrafted phinisi — built the traditional way by the boat-builders of South Sulawesi — carry the romance of sail and the warmth of wood. Modern motor yachts trade that romance for speed, stability and resort-grade air-conditioning. Purpose-built dive vessels add compressors, nitrox, rinse tanks and a working dive deck. Across all three, the constant is the standard: trained Flores crews, real safety equipment, and hospitality that does not slip when the harbour is out of sight.
This is why our pricing sits above the mass market. You are not paying for a logo — you are paying for a vessel that has earned its place, a captain who holds an internationally recognised certificate, and a crew who are paid well enough to stay, season after season, and to genuinely care that your trip goes right.
A phinisi is not a boat that was designed — it is a boat that was carved. On the beaches of South Sulawesi, the Konjo and Bugis boat-builders still lay down ironwood keels and shape hulls largely by eye and by hand, the same way their great-grandfathers built the trading schooners that once crossed the whole Indonesian archipelago. The luxury vessels in our fleet keep that hull and that heritage, then add air-conditioned en-suite cabins, a proper galley, wide sun decks and a master suite, so the romance of the wood is matched by the comfort travelers expect at this price.
Step aboard and the difference is immediate. Teak underfoot, the smell of salt and timber, the slow creak of rigging at anchor, and a crew of five to fifteen who treat the vessel as their home because, for most of the year, it is. Whether you choose a classic phinisi or a fast modern yacht, you are stepping onto a vessel with a name, a history and a crew that knows it intimately — not an anonymous hull from a fleet catalogue.
