A 65-metre handcrafted phinisi that sails the wild waters of Komodo in extraordinary style.

About the Yacht

The Grandest Phinisi Ever Built

LAMIMA is the grandest phinisi ever built, a 65.2-metre wooden sailing yacht that unites centuries-old Indonesian boatbuilding with the refinement of a modern superyacht. Designed by Marcelo Penna and hand-built from ironwood and teak by master shipwrights in Ara, South Sulawesi, she launched in 2014 as the only Indonesian-flagged yacht to carry an international RINA safety classification.Beneath her towering masts and billowing sails lies a vessel of rare pedigree. Every plank was shaped by hand, every detail considered, creating a yacht that feels at once timeless and quietly contemporary. She accommodates just fourteen guests across seven suites, attended by a devoted crew of twenty. To step aboard LAMIMA is to inherit a private world of teak decks, open horizons and effortless luxury — a yacht built not merely to sail the archipelago but to belong to it.

Life Aboard

A Private World at the Rhythm of the Sea

Life aboard LAMIMA unfolds at the rhythm of the sea. Days begin with sunrise yoga on the upper deck and gourmet breakfasts served beneath the sails, then drift between unlimited diving, snorkelling pristine reefs, jet skis and e-foils, or simply reclining on the vast sun deck as the islands slip by. A dedicated spa with Balinese therapists, a gym and quiet outdoor lounges invite stillness whenever the moment calls for it.As the yacht glides through the waters of Komodo National Park, her chefs prepare a refined fusion of Asian and European cuisine from the freshest local ingredients, paired with fine wines and served wherever you wish — on deck, on a deserted beach, or under a canopy of stars. With a crew of twenty anticipating every need, sailing LAMIMA is less a charter than a privilege.
