Day 1 — Ease In

At dusk we anchor off Kalong Island, where thousands of flying foxes stream out of the mangroves — the best free show in the park.
Day 2 — The Icons
Pre-dawn wake-up for the Padar trek; the light between 05:30 and 07:00 is why photographers set alarms. We time this within the 06:00–11:00 Siora session. For divers, the case is simple: Castle Rock and Crystal Rock are the two most requested sites in Komodo, and they only fit reliably into itineraries of four nights or more. A 5D4N schedule also gives your guides flexibility — if the current is wrong at Castle Rock on the planned morning, we can flip the schedule and return the next slack window. On a shorter trip there is no second chance.
For photographers, the fifth day changes everything about light. You get two sunrise opportunities instead of one (Padar and Gili Lawa Darat), golden-hour anchorages you are not racing away from, and the margin to wait out a cloudy morning.
